this was always the dream

I could always picture it.
The walls.
The furniture.
A store slowly coming together.

Even some of the vendors we’ve partnered with, I first met their reps or owners back in my twenties. To see them now as part of our curated collection at ash + co interiors? It feels full-circle. Because this — this — was always the dream.

Twelve years ago, my husband and I moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, for ministry. I stepped away from the design world full time and into the beautiful, wild joy of raising four daughters. Life unfolded in the way it often does, fast + full. The dream got quiet for a while. It felt far off. But now I see it was never gone, I was just learning.

I was learning how to build a home rooted in care + community, in the beauty of friendships + family. I was learning how to hold on to peace, even when things felt chaotic. And without knowing it, I was collecting everything I’d need to make this dream real — not just a business plan, but a way of being.

Because this business isn’t about selling furniture. It’s an extension of our home. It’s our way of welcoming others in. A way to help others curate spaces that gather, connect, restore, and invite peace.
Spaces where families grow.
Where friends are hosted.
Where people feel seen.

So, it is with deep gratitude and a full heart that I’m opening the doors to ash + co. To the dream that has always been.

But it's not for me.
I’m just the Ash.
You’re the Co.
